1. PRICE - Our budget hotel rooms in New York are for people whose most important consideration is a
low price.
The rooms are small, but so are our prices, which are the lowest of decent hotel rooms
in New York City.
We have 120
rooms that are clean and comfortable. They have
color TV, telephones,
AC(seasonal), executive-size
refrigerators,
private bathrooms, and microwaves.
Each suite consists of 2 rooms with a single bathroom in the middle that has a toilet & shower and each room has its own basin. Of the 2 rooms, one has a queen size, double, or 2 single beds. The other room has 2 single beds. That same room also has a table, 2 arm chairs and two folding chairs, and a floor lamp, as well as the color TV, phone, microwave oven & small refrigerator.
All the rooms in the building
are about the same size.
By taking a suite, you are getting about twice as
much space with the two rooms
as you would get in a single
room for one or two persons. As you can
see by the rates, you are only paying
a little bit more to get that
extra space. It is a good value.
Thus, the same size suite can hold 2, 3, or 4
persons. Each mattress is the same
fine quality and brand as in the $1,000 per
night luxury hotel
suites elsewhere. If you are here on business,
we have rooms with a desk and chair.

2. SAFETY - We have a perfect safety record: We have never had any kind of crime within any of our hotel
rooms,
(which makes us better than the Waldorf). Famous people regard this area as safe, for we have had
Alec Baldwin
on our block. Ben Stiller & Mick Jagger are a block north, and Barbara Streisand, Jerry Seinfeld,
Demi Moore and
Madonna live nearby. |
 |
3. FOOD -In addition to the small refrigerator and microwave oven in every room, we'll bring to you, free of charge, dishes and utensils so you can have breakfast or other food in your room. We do not have a restaurant
, but 30 or 40 are within a few blocks, and many of them will deliver to your room. Two blocks away is Broadway, where food stores are
open 24 hours a day. |
 |
4. Parking - You can park free on the street. It is a safe, residential neighborhood with no meters. If you want
a garage, there are 4 or 5 nearby at a cost of about $35 for each 24 hours. You can usually find a street space
by cruising around for 5 or 10 minutes. You can park all day on Saturday, Sunday, and Wednesday. On the
other days, the sanitation department sweeps on one side of the street every 4 days from 11 a.m. to 12:30 p.m.
Street signs tell you which side will be swept, and on which day. If you are to arrive on one of those days, try to
get here by 12:15 p.m. and you'll immediately get a space that is good for the next 4 days. If you have to move
your car for street sweeping, merely double park (but only on an east-west street, not a north-south avenue)
starting around 10:40 a.m. It is legal. Go off New York sightseeing and come back around 12:15 p.m. and put your car
back into any empty space on the other side of the street. |
