What To Expect

Riverside Tower Hotel is at the finishing phase of a full renovation and upgrade, which is expected to be completed by the end of 2023.

As a guest during this “soft opening” period, here’s what you can expect.

Please note the entrance will be on Riverside Drive, not on 80th Street, during renovations.

Will my room be completed?

Yes. The guest rooms on the top six floors of the property, floors 11 to 16, are fully renovated. You will find a completely reimagined experience, plush bedding and premium mattresses, completely new in-room bathrooms, and newly installed hi-def televisions that are Google Chromecast enabled.

Hotel services during your stay include:

  • Guest entrance to the hotel is temporarily located on Riverside Drive at West 80th Street
  • Housekeeping (every third day on stays of three days or longer)
  • Dedicated guest-only elevator
  • Luggage storage
  • Food deliveries to the front desk…the front desk manager can provide a selection of nearby restaurants for delivery to the hotel
  • The café in The Commons will be open for a light New York-style continental breakfast

Construction during your stay:

The Riverside Tower Hotel team has taken every precaution to safeguard your wellbeing during your stay while renovations are completed in other areas of our landmarked building.
  • All work will be scheduled during the hours between 8am to 4pm
  • Construction on guest room floors (immediately below floor 11) has been completed and are in the paint/decorate and soft-goods installation phase so there should be little to no added noise
  • While the lobby continues to undergo renovation, protections such as tarp and temporary dividing walls will minimize potential dust and noise
